Python leather is leather printed with a snakeskin motif which is then embossed and cut out to give a natural "skin" look. This type of leather is denominated "fantasy" leather because it is leather that realistically mimics snakeskin. Even though it is only an imitation of python scales, this material is still more fragile because the scales may lift. The "glossy" print, however, protects the leather with its fine coating.
